Vanities

  • Good Clean Style

Bathroom vanity units used to be a neglected element of home design, maybe because of their perfunctory natures. However, we’ve decided to take a stand against boring bathrooms! Let us show you our Rustic Teak Wood Vanity!

    Rustic Teak Wood Vanity Style

When it comes to rustic furniture design, we’re the experts. It’s no use being falsely modest or humble here. We know what good designs look like. We know how to craft lasting furniture. Furthermore, we do both on a daily basis. That’s why when we turned our attention to bathroom vanity units! We wanted to step outside our comfort zone and go for gold. That’s exactly the motivation that led to the rustic teak and reclaimed wood vanity coming to fruition.

Whoever said that wood and bathrooms can’t mix was wrong and potentially responsible for years of people being afraid to bring their rustic dreams into their most private spaces. We’re here to tell you that not only do the right woods THRIVE in bathroom environments; but also, that rustic vanity units and accompaniments look fantastic in a bathroom. Why? Because they are so charmingly warm and inviting.

Keeping Rustic Teak Wood Vanity designs simple

Bathrooms don’t need to be fussy, they need to be clean, easy to use and comfortable, which is what we kept in mind when we designed our rustic vanity. Combining hardy teak with dramatic reclaimed timber, the undulations in wood tones here create all the excitement you need; without fiddly detailing, but we haven’t skimped on the storage.

Available as a two or four-door option, you can easily hide away all your toiletries and spare linens; before, adding what we think is the absolutely perfect finishing touch - countertop sinks. Whether you need one or two, adding a stone sink just sets the organic vibe of this vanity off and creates an overall look. A look that is spectacularly luxurious but somehow so natural at the same time. You could even choose to keep the wood theme going and install petrified wood options, with an understated faucet.

Key points to remember before installing wood in a bathroom:

    • Choose a reputable furniture supplier who can answer any questions you might have
    • Be sure you are using wood that is moisture resistant
    • Consider aromatic choices such as teak and red cedar

    Make your choice

All you need to decide is which of our two standard sizes you need and which sink and faucet package you’d like to add. From there, we will do all the legwork for you. Of course, it’s our honor to ship free of charge if you live in the contiguous states, leaving you to simply choose your plumbing team and wait for installation day. But wait. If you’re replacing a vanity, do you also need to consider a linen closet or other matching storage? If you do, be sure to check out our comprehensive range of rustic bathroom additions.

  • Best Materials to Combine with Wood

Solid wood furniture looks, smells and feels great to use and live with; however, when you want to add some extra pizazz. There are a host of fantastic materials that work beautifully with natural timber. Here are our top 5:

    1. Contrasting woods

Is this one a bit of a cheat? Maybe. However, no other materials for wood looks as good as other, color-contrasting varieties of wood. The striking visual of pale and dark woods working together and being intertwined in a stylish design is unforgettable and retains the organic feel that solid wood always inspires as well.

    2. Metal

Whether in the form of trims, handles, frame or bases, metal is a fantastic partner for wood across a variety of platforms. And don’t forget that it can be plated, coated and coored too! We feature a number of designs that have options of black, polished stainless steel and even brushed gold stainless steel features and they all look incredible, with a variety of woods.

    3. Resin

DIY videos and social media might make it look as simple as pouring resin into a crack to create dynamic table design; however, there is far more artistry and skill involved than you might think. When partnered correctly, you can enjoy a dazzling visual contrast that tells a story and creates finished furniture items. Items that have unique charm and personality.

If you’ve ever marveled at tables with bright blue ‘river’ effects running through them. Then you’re already aware of the wood and resin trend.

    4. Leather

Leather and wood. It’s a love story as old as time! One provides the stability and support and the there the luxury and comfort. From high-backed dining chairs with thick, sumptuous seat pads encased in the butteriest leather; to traditional rustic desks with inlaid leather tops! There is so much scope for bringing these two gorgeous materials together.

We particularly like sticking to a subdued and natural color palette with the leather, ranging from chocolate browns to soft beiges and maybe even a forest green. Gorgeous!

    5. Stone

Wood and stone go together so well because they coexist in nature but when you bring them into your home, what an impact they make! It’s because they interact naturally, with varying textures and colors creating an organic harmony but within an indoor setting, they look surprising and interesting together! Our favorite way to combine these two materials is with a rustic bathrooLink to a vanity combined with a material for wood m vanity unit that plays host to a countertop stone sink. • Red Cedar Vanity to brighten Your Room

We know that the bathroom isn’t always the simplest room to upgrade. You want to get the perfect balance of function, storage and style and so often, something has to give. But not anymore, with our Red Cedar Vanity, you'll get the best of everything!

Aside from your sanitary ware, what is your top priority in a bathroom? It’s storage, of course. Not least because the bathroom is usually one of if not the smallest room in your home. You need to use your space creatively and with maximum efficiency in mind. That is where we can help you!

    A Stylish Red Cedar Vanity!

Link to the Red Cedar Vanity Red Cedar Vanity- Sink Right

Our red cedar vanity unit is a cumulative home run, giving you not only space for a sink, but also a valuable surface and plenty of drawers, as well as a cupboard. Even the smallest incarnation of the unit offers a wealth of organizational potential! Although, we do offer an array of sizes to make sure that there is a perfect design for your home. You can customize to a huge degree and even opt for a fully bespoke size, but what are the real selling points of this stylish addition?

Aromatic red cedar. It looks phenomenal and it smells great too. Not many materials can claim the same, much to their chagrin, as the comforting smell that envelops your nose as you walk into a bathroom with red cedar in place is unforgettable. Not to mention irresistible. But then we come to the staggering number of options you can select from.

No two bathrooms are the same, just like every family and its need are different, which is why you can pick and choose elements that will offer you the best combination of good looks and practicality. Would tilt-out drawers and a hidden bin under the sink be useful? Consider it done. You want a liquid glass finish on your top? Our pleasure. And those are just the little additions that make our service extra special. Don’t forget that you can give us your room dimensions and layout, to best decide which proportions will work for you. We can even provide your vanity unit with a beautiful copper sink in place too, leaving you with some simple plumbing and little else to worry about.

    Long Lasting Natural Wood

Link to the Red Cedar Vanity Red Cedar Vanity- Sink Left

If you’re concerned about wood in the bathroom, don’t be. We only use solid, natural wood, no composites here! Composites are the materials that swell and degrade when they come into contact with humidity and moisture. The red cedar will bring stoic charm, not concerns about swelling and whether you choose miniature log handles or metal strap finishes! You’ll always be able to feel the quality and rigidity of your furniture. You can even add a coordinating mirror as well, if you feel like going all out with your redesign.

Just one word to the wise, before you rush to treat yourself to a new vanity unit. Don’t forget that adding a vessel sink always adds significant height to your finished furniture. That’s fine if you have nobody short in the house, but consideration should be given to potential users.

  • Make Guests Turn Red With Envy

We know there’s meant to be an element of humble shyness when a compliment is given! However, when it comes to receiving praise for your choice of stunning wooden bathroom furniture! Let’s be loud and proud with this stunning rustic red cedar log vanity. After all, how many people can truly say that their vanity units made their guests sick with jealousy?

Eye Catching Beauty with a Red Cedar Log Vanity

Red Cedar. One of the most naturally eye-catching, beautiful and hardy woods that we use and because of its aesthetic value! We like to design pieces to work specifically with it. There’s an unavoidable decadence and richness to the material that demands craftsmanship of a higher level. Also, a talent for balancing the all-out glamor of the grain and hue with simple functionality. That’s where our people excel.

Just take a look at this Rustic Red Cedar Log Bathroom Vanity. Would it have been easy to get carried away, adding more detail, finishing touches and fancy trims? Of course, but why bother when this is such an eternal showstopper? The vibrant color of the wood, with the earthy rustic corner logs, plus the combination of both drawers and cupboards and all topped off with inset sinks? WOW. Anything else would have simply gotten lost in the understated magnificence of what was already being created. Which frankly, is vanity perfection. You get no loss of performance for aesthetics and vice versa. Additionally, we offer such a vast array of size options too, to ensure a snug, uncompromising and made-to-last fit.

  • A Splash of Modernity for the Bathroom

a Modern Rustic Vanity Modern Rustic Vanity

A little bit of old world charm goes a long way. However, what if you love rustic design but have a fairly modern home? You can bring the two together, if you choose a handsome hybrid such as our modern rustic vanity.

Modern Rustic Vanity for Organic Looks

We could talk all day long about the organic beauty and inherent charm of rustic furniture. However, the simple fact is that not everybody wants a raw tree root in their contemporary homes. We get that, but we also know that when tempered with some up to date aesthetics, a rustic vibe can add so much to even a super pared back room, such as a bathroom. That’s why this grey wash vanity is such a firm favorite of ours.

Picture if you will, a modern bathroom. White metro tiles on the walls, a sleek shower enclosure and suite pieces that look almost space age in their styling. Now imagine adding in a contrasting vanity unit that balances the space and prevents it from feeling too sterile. It’s perfect isn’t it? What a way to harmonize without compromise! We happen to think that this refined rustic vanity would be the perfect addition to even the more stark and contemporary of rooms.

    Reclaimed Sturdy Creation

So how have we created this blended beauty? First, when building a reclaimed contemporary vanity unit, you need to actually use authentic barn wood, which we have. The doors are made from beautiful reclaimed timber. Which we have lovingly and delicately finished in a soft grey, for that neutral and modern feel. Next, we kept the frame simple. No unnecessary trump or additions here, we just let the materials do all of the talking. Finally, finished everything off with smooth handles that will mirror any fresh metal trims in your bathroom. Clever, right? So understated, our modern reclaimed wood vanity is the ideal addition to literally any home, in any location, because it is so balanced.

Put this unit in a lodge or cabin and the rustic wood will step forward and integrate. Place it in a chic New York apartment and the linear lines and clean finish will resonate. Drawers plus a sizable cupboard mean that you will be able to enjoy a clutter-free space and we give you the option of readying your unit for your sink on either side. Because why would we know where your sink would look best?

    Easily Shipped for FREE!

Naturally, we ship your vanity for free, within the contiguous 48 states, as is the Woodland Creek way and we are always easy to get in touch with, should you want us to design any other complementary pieces, or build to custom dimensions. If you need any further convincing, we invite you to take a look at our reviews. A verified buyer of this exact vanity commented that: “I'm so thankful I found Woodland Creek Furniture. The sales person was exemplary, such a pleasure to work with. I ordered two handcrafted barn wood vanities with mirrors to match. The craftsmanship was incredible, way beyond any expectation I had.”

We think reviews like this say so much more than we ever could and would love for you to have a reason to leave one too.

  • Rustic Styling for Refined Tastes

Say the word rustic and some people might mistake it for old or tatty. In reality, when rustic styling is used well and by the appropriate artisans, it creates a unique version of antique furniture! That looks at place in any setting and adds a quiet organic charm that nothing else can compete with. Come and take a look at our refined rustic vanity cabinetry and you’ll see what we mean.

link to a refined rustic vanity Refined Rustic Vanity Cabinetry

Refined Rustic Design for your Bathroom!

The first thing you’ll notice here is that this is a natural wood open vanity design. What that means is that there’s nowhere to hide. Poor workmanship or sloppy finishes will be instantly apparent! However, we never let anything sub-par leave our workshop, so were not afraid to tackle this kind of bold style. All eyes are going to be on a rustic elegant vanity such as this one. So, we have spared no time or effort when considering every last detail. From the rough sawn wood of the carcass to the use of sophisticated corbels and even the metal work; no stone has been left unturned in the creation of this piece.

Naturally, we could have used perfectly attractive metal pulls that were readily available! However, that wouldn’t befit an elegant open wood vanity like this one, so we invested in hand forged metal accents. It’s just one of the ways that we seek to support other domestic interests, by keeping demanded for traditional skills and artistry alive. When you buy from us, you are doing the same! You will be supporting our team of handpicked master craftspeople that make creating with wood their entire lives.

We decided to choose a three drawer design for this refined wood vanity, in a bid to maximize practicality but also symmetry. The middle drawer has been cleverly adapted to make way for your plumbing and we’ve even thought about your linens. In any bathroom, you simply cannot have enough useful storage! Especially for all the bulky linens or gorgeous decorative items that you amass. Here, we included a low shelf for just these items, keeping everything tucked out of the way but still perfectly to hand, whenever you need them.

    Sizes for what You Need!

If you’re looking at our vanity unit and thinking that it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for but not the right size, don’t count us out. We offer four standard size options! However, we are always ready to discuss a totally bespoke build. Our reps can even help you decide what size would work best in your space! If you send us some dimensions and/or pictures.

We might try to take all of the heavy lifting off your shoulders, in terms of designing timeless furniture pieces that you’ll love in your home! However, that doesn’t mean that anything we offer is ‘ordinary’ and that goes double for our customer service. We want you to be delighted and looking forward to visiting us again for your next revamp! So, while free shipping and generous warranties are usually offered as standard! Why not give us a chance to turn our breathtaking designs into a one-off, just for you?

If the idea of barn wood bathroom furniture has always appealed to you, but you’re nervous about the material, usual styles or even the price! We have surely created something just for you! Our Reclaimed Heritage Double Sink Barn Wood Vanity combines the best of all worlds with incredible timeless style, traditional craftsmanship and so much practicality all working together to create a must-have bathroom addition, but don’t just take our word for it,

“Our Reclaimed Heritage Double Sink Wood Vanity was absolutely more than what we expected. Not only is it a thing of beauty, my husband who also is a craftsman was blown away with the quality of workmanship.”

It doesn’t get any better than this, in terms of verified customer reviews. However, indulge us for just a moment, while we tell you all about this special piece of furniture.

A Reclaimed Barn Wood Vanity Homage

We designed our reclaimed wood vanity as an homage to the hard-working farmers, crofters and ranchers that made America what it is today. Using the materials that the earth gave them, these pioneers transformed their houses into homes! That offered practicality and comfort and it’s time we got back to some of these traditional values, don’t you think? With this firmly in mind, we went to town on the small but meaningful details.

We use genuine repurposed timber for our reclaimed barn wood vanity. Some competitors might be happy to try and fool you by using less than vintage wood. However, we always select the best, strongest and more heritage-imbued timber for our pieces, with a minimum of 100 years in the fibers. We then consider all the smaller and more functional elements, to ensure perfect cohesion and usability.

We could have been lazy with the fastenings and fixings. However, that’s not us, which is why you’ll find perfectly forged metal slide door latches and strap drawer handles. Although, if  you take a close look at the door hinges and you’ll see something special. REAL WOOD!  No modern, cheap alloy hinges here, we have instead given our craftspeople the opportunity to flex their skills and create something more in-keeping with the material being showcased. But enough of these small intricacies, because we know that what you’re really interested in is the double-sink design!

    Not the Norm

Double sink wood vanity units are not the norm. Let’s just get that out of the way. The reason is that they take care and skill to build! As well as, a genuinely talented eye for matching up sanitary ware with incredible barn wood. Frankly, not everyone has that. Now is not the time to be humble, so we are going to admit that we DO have the eye for this! That’s why our double sink design here is so spectacular! As is our determination to accommodate any and all bathroom dimensions. Simply use our series of drop down boxes to select the perfect size, orientation, sink and even coordinating pieces. It couldn’t be simpler or more satisfying.

Oh wait, it could be more pleasurable, if say we shipped your new vanity unit for free, within the contiguous 48 states, and gave you a free LIFETIME WARRANTY! It’s a good job we have two sinks here, as we need to splash some cool water on our faces now!

If we were to tell you that your bathroom or utility room could be the most glamorous space in your home, would you believe us? We didn’t think so! Have a little faith though, as we are about to prove that it is in fact true!

We wouldn’t blame you for being skeptical about claims of bathroom grandeur. After all, it tends to be a perfunctory space that is used as infrequently as possible. Also, it certainly isn’t used as a showcase for decorating bragging rights…but it could be! As soon as you drink in the images of our Copper Vanity and Linen Closet, we think you’ll understand how!

Ample Storage with a Copper Vanity and Linen Closet

Think of what you need most in a bathroom and you’ll know intuitively that it’s storage. Obviously, you want a sink as well, but it’s the organization potential that’s really important. However, you don’t want to crowd the wider room with mismatched or badly placed pieces of furniture! Which is where our coordinating cabinets come into their own!

We don’t want you to think that it’s a case of all or nothing! Maybe you need the vanity unit for a master bath and the linen closet for your utility? • A Design that Deserves a Pedestal

Normally, it pays to be a little modest about designs that have been born out of a moment of wild creativity! Then manifested into being, especially when they are bold and unusual! However, we are going to make an exception for our incredible Teak Stump Pedestal Vanity.

Let’s not beat around the bush here: this teak stump pedestal vanity unit is exceptionally different. We doubt you’ll have seen anything quite like this before! Especially not in terms of construction expertise and care, but more on that shortly.

When it comes to teak bathroom furniture, we are all more used to sleek, polished surfaces and elegant uniformity, which we still have a lot of love for, but it never hurts to sidestep the comfort zone and embrace something new. That’s what we’ve done with our ultimate take on a natural teak vanity.

What You Need To Know about the Teak stump Vanity

No two units can possibly be the same – Of course they can’t, the central stumps are organic items, chosen for their size and likelihood of suitability for hollowing out in the back.

Every vanity comes complete with a sink – If you’ve long lusted after hand carved sinks, now is the time to claim one for yourself. Sturdy and safe, though delicately affixed to not overshadow the overall beauty. The sink itself is the perfect finishing touch to what will definitely be the focal point in your bathroom.

Each vanity is ready to plumb. We don’t think there could be anything worse than investing in a stylish and unique vanity. Only to find that you are expected to cut into the back in order to fix your plumbing system in place. That’s why we supply your solid teak vanity with a plug hole already in place. As well as, hollow sections in the rear of the stump, for all of your pipework.

The finish is up to you. There is so much variation in terms of how people like their bathroom furniture to be finished. That we decided to supply these one-off vanity units in their natural state. This leaves you to decide if you want to stain, wax, paint, oil or lacquer and give you the freedom to do so! Once it is in place, you can coordinate with other bathroom pieces.

    Imbued With Pride

While the stumps themselves dictate the finished shape and look of each reclaimed teak vanity. Our artisans use their judgement and experience to hand select the best raw stumps to work with. You might also be surprised to learn that we include a full year’s warranty with each unit, even though they are going to be placed in a moist environment. Why? Because we know our quality can withstand a little water!

Shipped free of charge within the contiguous 48 states and taking between 1-2 weeks to be dispatched. You can enjoy a slice of designer style and chic in the most private room of your home and get the satisfaction of almost instant gratification as well. How many pieces of solid wood bathroom furniture can offer that? Not many outside of Woodland Creek’s portfolio, we’d wager!

  • Wash Away Bad Memories!

link to a copper bathroom vanity

If you’ve been thinking about revamping your bathroom, don’t go anywhere, as we have the PERFECT copper vanity unit to introduce you to today. Antique in style, built from the very best materials and creating a gorgeous focal point for the smallest room in the house, we know you’re going to fall in love with our Copper Vanity with Hand Hammered Copper Sink.

A Copper Vanity Made In Bathroom Heaven

As far as we’re concerned, there’s only one way to make a solid wood vanity or a reclaimed wood vanity better and that’s by adding some recycled copper elements, to lift the whole design into a new sphere of bathroom furniture and that’s exactly what we have done here.

Starting with the main carcass. We decided that genuinely reclaimed barn wood, with at least 100 years of character and strength! Was the only material that would suffice. Injecting the piece with instant heritage and ensuring uniqueness, the reclaimed timber is also able to withstand the moisture in bathroom air, making it a steadfast choice, but let’s be honest and admit that the copper is really stealing the show here.link to a bathroom vanity

Adding warm, gleaming panels to the cabinet and drawer fronts created an exciting and playful piece in itself, but with the addition of a hand hammered sink, the finished design is out of this world. If you invested in no other eye-catching pieces for your bathroom. Then this finished look wouldn’t suffer at all. As this recycled copper vanity can carry an interior design scheme all on its own.

    A Design Masterclass

Creating a delightfully vintage ambiance, we think that traditional bathroom suites would pair exquisitely with our old world copper vanity, while giving you the chance to neatly store any modern appliances out of sight too. Though having said that, in an otherwise contemporary space, a surprising antique addition can make a big impact too. We can’t think of a home where this piece wouldn’t immediately ingratiate itself and look the part. In rustic homes, such as cabins and lodges. We can see it fitting in beautifully with a large collection of solid wood furniture. However, in a modern home, it would be a gorgeous focal point that could easily be expanded on.

Ample storage has been factored in, as you would expect with a useful vanity unit. A full height cabinet allows you to hide way bulky items that disrupt the clean lines of your bathroom! While smaller drawers offer you convenient spaces for small, easily lost items.

Given the special nature of this design and the fact that we make to order! We ask for a little more time than usual. We aim to complete production within 12-14 weeks. However, we would prefer not to rush either our artisans or the perfection that they are crafting, just for you.

For more information or to discuss other vanity options, please get in touch. We will be happy to devise a plan for your next purchase.
