This cantilevered slab coffee table is a brand new design by Woodland Creek Furniture.  A tree root is shaped into a round ball and then hand sanded and given a custom Woodland Creek finish so as to be careful to leave the character intact.  The organic base is paired with a Natural Clear finished live edge slab of Black Walnut sourced in Michigan.  The weight of the base allows the top to be suspended creating a cantilever.  The wooden slab can be centered if desired.   The luster of the base with the black walnut top creates a "rich" look.  The photos do a good job of capturing the look, but it looks even better in person.  Keep in mind we can make this cantilevered slab coffee table design with other wood species and any size needed.  Custom live edge furniture is our specialty.  We are here seven days a week to answer your questions.
