Barn Wood Mission Bed

The barnwood Mission bed is one of the very first designs from the barnwood collection. It remains one of our most popular barn wood bed designs. This rustic bed is handcrafted from solid barn wood timbers. Yes, it is as sturdy as it looks.  We will put this bed up against any bed on the market in terms of sturdiness and rustic aesthetic beauty.  The thick vertical reclaimed posts are hand-sanded and soft to the touch. The bed is not only sturdy and solid, but it is equally beautiful. Each barnwood bed has over one hundred years of natural markings and weathering. This bed is a functional piece of Americana art as the reclaimed wood beams once supported a barn somewhere in the Midwest. Now, it will give comfort to you and your family. Both the headboard and footboard can be made custom heights.

Our Big Timber version of this bed uses 6" x 6" posts and 4" x 4" spindles, while our Slim Timber uses 4" x 6" posts and 2" x 4" spindles. Both are as solid and sturdy a bed as you'll find!

For reasons of structural integrity, side rails are made from new growth wood that is finished and stained to match the reclaimed barn wood materials used for the rest of the bed.
