Overall my experience with Woodland Creek Log Furniture Place was excellent. My sofa arrived in perfect condition and very well packed. The total weight of the crate and contents was 538 lbs, so you will most likely need lift gate service, which WCLFP does not include in its free shipping agreement. However the FedEx delivery man was kind enough t

From there he used a pallet jack to move the crate (which was sitting on a large pallet) to the edge of the street in front of my house. Thanks FedEx! WCLFP informed me I would need a crowbar to open the crate and that it was not screwed shut. This turned out to be incorrect.
The crate was put together with screws and so I would recommend having an electric screwdriver on hand. The smallest dimension of the sofa itself is 36”, so if you have a doorway any less wide than 36” you should do your homework before ordering this item. I rent a duplex apartment and the front doorway is about 34” wide. I was thankfully able to get the sofa in, but both the screen door and front door had to be removed to finagle it. The sofa itself was not extremely heavy, and one of these should be moved easily enough with 2 able bodied people. I had 2 friends help me however, and I think a 3rd person made it easier. The sofa itself is great, a really outstanding build! I was told the bottom cushion support would be plywood, but it was actually much better quality solid wood slats on top of lateral, front to back logs. The back cushion support, and the entire frame of the sofa, is all aspen log construction. I was a little disappointed that one of the log arms on the sofa is almost half again as small in diameter than the other, but this is a matter of personal preference I suppose. As stated on the WCLFP website, all furniture is basically one of a kind and has its own unique characteristics. If you want things a certain way, be sure to specify with their representatives. The smaller arm log also has an especially rustic look with wormholes running throughout the exterior. It’s a cool look, and the log itself I believe is solid, but I found the outside to be pretty “punky” in places, which caused the honey finish to flake off in quite a few spots. I was able to scrape away the punky wood and will touch it up with a little shellac. With all that being said it is a beautiful and solidly built piece of furniture that I’ll always keep and will last too. I chose the Gallup upholstery. The cushions are comfortable and stay in place, and I figured out that of the 6 cushions that are all exactly the same size and shape, 3 are firm (to sit on), and 3 are softer (the back cushions). The cushions were not upholstered all the way around, and rounded like in the picture on the website. They are only upholstered with my choice in fabric on the tops. The other 5 sides are done in a brown faux leather. They are probably not the best quality cushions and most likely will wear out after time, but you could do a lot worse too. The log sofa itself will last a lifetime and is solid as a rock. Overall I would recommend Woodland Creek to anyone for their high quality builds and friendly and helpful staff. Thanks again!!
