These beautiful barn wood dining chairs start with reclaimed wood that is 100 to 150 year old wood.  The Midwest has thousands of aging barns that are no longer is use as they have been replaced with modern metal pole buildings.  Many of the farmers loved their barns too much to tear them down so they just let them age gracefully as we are all aging gracefully.  This creates an opportunity to repurpose this antique, weathered wood and turn it into something that will be used and cherished for decades to come.

These barn wood dining chairs are an example of what can be made from the salvaged woods.  We are calling this new rustic line of furniture the "Touch of the West Collection". The wording is perfect as it has just a subtle hint of western furniture design, but not enough to put it solely into this category.  It is also "refined rustic or elegant rustic" and thus will fit nicely into cabin, cottage, ranch, mountain, Tuscan, Old World and even traditional home decors.  This is truly a transitional dining chair design.

The layered reclaimed woods have varying gray and brown tones and is heavily textured.  These accent details contrast the ebony painted barn wood frame.  This combination makes the design detail and lighter color leather stand out for a beautiful barn wood dining chair.  These barn wood dining chairs are made with solid wood and are sturdy.  Should you ever want to change the leather seats, they easily unscrew from underneath making it easy to reupholster them.  The leather is top grade and will last for many years.
