This aged barn wood bed is created in the traditions of Taos. Taos is a small town in the north-central region of New Mexico in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Taos means "place of red willows" in the local Indian dialect. The "Red Willow" bed is made in the old tradition of the pueblo, of earth and most precious water. In the desert seek the red willow for it only grows where there is water.
This unique bed design typifies rustic elegance. Made with reclaimed woods, contrasting ebony panels, refined moldings and hammered nail heads - the perfect combination of sophistication and rustic charm perfect for western, southwestern, ranch, Spanish, cabin or lodge decors.
NOTE:
The siderails are made from newer wood and stained to be similar in color to the rest of the bed, which is actual reclaimed barnwood.
The reason for this is the siderails support most of the weight of people in the bed and must be made from stronger material.
