This beautiful barnwood bed with natural slab is not only unique and beautiful, but it is also rock solid.  Solid reclaimed 6″ x 6″ barnwood timber posts are used for the headboard and footboard.  A thick, natural live edge slab is showcased in the headboard.  Each slab will be unique and different as “Mother Nature’s” artwork can never be replicated.

As with all the barnwood furniture shown throughout our web site each is handcrafted the old fashioned way using time honored woodworking techniques and a proprietary finishing system.  The reclaimed wood is over 100 years old, and age is very important.  Some of our competitors are using wood reclaimed from barns under 50 years.  It takes 100 years of weathering and oxidation to get the perfect patina – a patina that cannot be replicated by using modern woodworking techniques.  What we are trying to say is some of our competitors are using grinders and sanders and other tricks to try and make the wood look older.  Nothing comes close to the slow process Mother Nature uses – four seasons of weather – including long hot summer days, rainy springs and fall and bitter cold winters.  This makes the perfect barnwood for furniture.
