Each stump is painstakingly and carefully extracted to ensure all the unique character is preserved. Then the stumps are cleaned by hand and kiln dried for 6 - 8 months. The table top is 2" thick, REAL, solid wood, and is edged with hand peeled aged Northern White Cedar Logs to create an even thicker appearance. Your rustic double stump dining table will be a true work of art, never to be duplicated as no two stumps are ever the same.

A: This table would not be recommended for use outdoors. The top does not all for any rainfall to dry out and the solid stump bases would be susceptible to rot. If you wanted to give it a go, we would recommend ordering it unfinished and using high quality, penetrating outdoor sealant. This would not be warrantied if used in an outdoor setting.

The stumps are so unique and gorgeous, they sit level on our floor... not sure what else to say about those.
The finish: We went with the clear finish and the liquid glass. I love the liquid glass. I know it is a bit more maintenance in some regards but it adds a real elegance to the table. I can see why it is referred to as liquid glass. Very glossy and deep looking - like looking through a sheet of glass. The finish is impeccable, nice and smooth and the stumps have a regular clear finish on them.
