Our Cedar Lake Rustic Log Daybed is handcrafted from naturally aged Northern White Cedar logs that are hand peeled to ensure that as much of the character left by nature is left intact. This rustic character can be found in such forms as beetle tracks, cats eye burls, gnarls and more. The hand peeling removes the outer bark and leaves some of the inner bark, or cambium, on the logs to create a nice contrast. The Cedar Lake log daybed was designed to use a standard twin mattress on the built in frame and the optional trundle frames also will use a standard 8" thick twin mattress. We offer a rolling trundle frame which will roll out from under the daybed to act as another sleeping area and we also offer a pop-up trundle which will roll out to be used as another sleeping area or it can be popped up next to the daybed to extend the daybed into an almost king sized bed! Both the daybed and trundles accomodate twin mattresses.
