Our log table is both beautiful and functional. It starts with an ornate tree stump full of natural character. Woodland Creek maintains hundreds of natural tree stumps for our log game tables, log dining tables and log pool tables. Each is handpicked and reclaimed from various parts of the world. Our men up in the mountains or remote areas of the country have a discerning eye so they only pick logs with the best character.
Each log is meticulously cleaned. We first power wash the logs and them let them air dry for months and sometimes years. We then sand blast each one so all the cavities are cleaned out. We then air blast all the crevices to remove excess sand. The log is then cut, leveled and sanded. After the prep work, each log is hand sanded to make sure it passes the “touch test”. The craftsman will touch every part of the log to ensure it is ready.
The log game table shown in the photos was a request by a customer to make them an expandable card table. It can be made with a solid top or expandable top as shown. The expandable version has two leaves. Remove the leaves, and it collapses into a small log game table. Add the two leaves, and ten people can comfortably play cards for hours.
Another nifty feature of this log game table are the reversible chip holders. Upside down they make for usable table top space. Or switch them to hold chip for a night of Texas Holdem poker.
The solid wood table top is made from alder and finished in our signature rustic barnwood finish. There are other wood and color choices for both the table top and log base. Custom made rustic furniture is Woodland Creek’s specialty. Woodland Creek has been handcrafting log and rustic furniture for eighteen years now. Our team of expert woodworkers take pride in the furniture they build. Then never rush or cut corners as they want to be known for building the best rustic furniture in the country.
