The Glacier Country Twin over Twin Log Bunk Bed is made from lodgepole pines that have been harvested from dead standing trees. The logs are then carefully hand peeled using draw knives to peel the outer bark off of the logs. This hand peeling process is carefully done so all of the cambium (inner bark) is left on the logs, giving a beautiful texture and color contrast to the creamy white pine logs. The hand peeling process also leave the natural character of the logs intact, assuring that each piece of Montana Woodworks furniture will be uniquely rustic and original.  The Glacier Country Log Bunk Bed comes standard with a honey pine finish.

The Glacier Country Log Bunk Bed has the ladder built into the footboard and wood slat mattress supports are included.  A upper mattress of 6" is recommended for the top bunk to meet industry safety standards.
