The log peeling process leaves some of the inner, darker bark on the logs, as well as leaving the knots and imperfections. This means each log used will be unique, creating a one of a kind rustic futon. Took longer than expected to get. But, thankfully didn't need it right away. Instructions were vague but it was pretty self explanatory. The large log on the back of the futon is not straight but it is covered by the mattress when in the upright position. Very happy with my purchase. Fits right were I needed it to and looks great.

Love the look. The slides are VERY difficult to move. Nothing like the video. It takes two people pushing/pulling to slide the slides. Hoping it will loosen with time. The foam mattress is hard and has plastic pieces at the tufts which poke. I am getting the innerspring mattress in hopes it is better. I love the look. Very sturdy.
