Shipping & Handling

Crating

Crating

We build very strong wood crates to protect the furniture from damage during shipping. If you notice damage to the exterior of the crate, please inspect your furniture carefully for damage. Damage must be noted at the time of delivery. Please immediately call us and describe the damage. If it is repairable, we will immediately send out the necessary parts to fix. If you believe your furniture is beyond repair, please contact our shipping department immediately or your sales rep. If everyone is in agreement then the furniture will be rejected and it will be returned to us at no expense to you.

NOTE: Each crate is built so that either the top or one side is attached with screws. This is the side (or top) to open first and remove your furniture. DO NOT destroy crate until you have concluded the furniture is in good condition.
If the furniture ordered is not heavy, the top will unscrew, and the piece can be removed from the top. For larger, heavier pieces, one side will unscrew.
If there is damage to the piece, it is the customer’s responsibility to place the piece back inside the crate so the shipper can return the crated piece for credit.
If the crate is destroyed by the customer while opening to inspect, the customer is responsible for the recrating.

Since Woodland Creek has started to ship using wood crates, product damage has declined substantially. It is our goal to get you your furniture in pristine condition. We thank you for your order and hope your furniture brings many years of happiness.

Storage Policy for WCF

Q: I ordered my furniture based upon the due date the contractor gave me. That date has now been extended; can you hold my furniture order for me?

A: Yes. After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation with an estimated due date. If you need your delivery held longer than this estimated due date, please reach out to us.
We are a family owned/operated furniture manufacturer. While we may not have the room here at our facility to store orders, we do have a local insured storage facility that has given us special rates for storing orders.
We can pass these special rates on to you. If you need your order held for longer than 2 weeks past your due date the following charges will apply:

  • Orders up to $2500 – will be charged $75 per month
  • Orders $2501-$5000 – will be charged $100 per month
  • Orders $5001-$10,000 – will be charged $200 per month
  • Orders $10,001-$20,000 – will be charged $350 per month
  • Orders $20,001-$30,000 – will be charged $500 per month
  • Orders over $30k that need to be held – please contact us for rates

If you know you won't need your order for a few months, you can still place your order today.
We will assign your order a production date that will allow us to have it ready for your requested date.
For example, it's April but you don't need the order delivered until September.
Simply note this date on your order, and there will be no additional storage charges for the delivery in September.

All deliveries are performed Monday through Friday, between normal business hours of 8am to 5pm.
Weekend deliveries are not available.

Shipments outside of the 48 contiguous United States do NOT qualify for free shipping.
