This beautiful elegant rustic sustainable wood bed is handcrafted from knotty alder.  The bed features just the right amount of textured alder while the panels are smooth - creating a wonderful juxtaposition of rustic and refined.   The addition of darker trim around the panels, a curve in the footboard and darker stained trim around the posts create an elegant rustic sustainable wood bed.  And thus the name "Elegant Rustic Sustainable Wood Bed."

This bed is built solid and will be around for many decades.  Its sophisticated design makes it a transitional bed design.  Our rustic sustainable wood bed will look wonderful in a Tuscan, Old World, Western, Mountain, Rustic or Mediterranean style decor.
