A rustic hardwood coffee table for you needs

Our Rustic Hardwood Waterfall Coffee Table is a tricksy little design. On the one hand, the finished aesthetic is so strikingly simple and unpretentious that it runs the risk of being undervalued! However, when you learn about all the details and thought processes behind the scenes. We know you’ll appreciate exactly what it represents.

Firstly, we knew that one timber style would not fit all living rooms! Which is why we give you the choice of black walnut, cherry or maple. Each is stunning in its own right! However, it offers a huge variation in terms of richness of tone and grain style. Remember that we supply your new solid wood coffee table with a protective clear finish, so you really want to be sure you choose the wood you like best.

With your wood chosen, you can think about size. We offer three as standard, but custom pieces are never, if you’ll excuse the pun, off the table. Thanks to the simple natural charm of this design; these are the only two decisions you need to make: size and timber. Because we’ll take it away and do what we do best with the rest.

    A Beautiful Grain

Now then. Why do we call this a waterfall coffee table? Simply because the grain and flow of the wood is followed over from the top and down each leg. The effect is one of a liquid slab having been bent into shape and being hardwood. Since it is hardwood, you know you’ll never have to worry about strength. Seriously, take a look at some of the detailed images and just see how perfectly executed those run-over legs are, not to mention how sturdy.

With such a flowing design on the top and sides, we wanted to keep things low key on the edges and bring in an organic edge shape too. We did this just to gently amplify the undulating and non-uniform feel at play. However, don’t think that any of our design touches have undermined what a functional and useful piece of furniture this is. Just as good as a card table as it is for resting a cup of something hot on (on a coaster though, please!); this is a charming example of work and play coming together in harmony.

We ship your new solid wood coffee table for free within the USA, as a thank you for choosing a domestic product made with care and pride! We also supply a full year’s warranty too. If you like simple designs that have a certain je ne sais quoi about them! Then this should definitely be on your radar.

  • Natural Wood Furniture Before You Buy

Gorgeous, timeless and great in any home, natural wood furniture is a surefire way to upgrade your interior design scheme. But what do you need to know before you realize your timber furniture dreams? We’re here to tell you 7 vital pieces of information.

    • Not all woods are equal

While price is no guarantee of quality or value, it can be an initial indicator of the kind of wood your furniture is crafted from. Make sure you do your research as stained knotty pine and Asian walnut are stratospheres apart! They are suitable for very different applications. You might also want to think about sustainability when selecting your timber as well.

    • How to clean it

Any reputable wood furniture seller will be happy to give you plenty of advice for cleaning your new purchase! This advice will be good to not damage the wood itself or the finish that has been applied. Naturally, when it comes to things like coffee tables, common sense will prevail, with coasters being a good preventative measure.

    • What warranty it carries

A good craftsman stands by their product and should offer some kind of guarantee and easy-to-find company policies. Whether it’s one year, limited lifetime or lifetime, a warranty will give you peace of mind! That you’ve bought from a trustworthy manufacturer that will set right any unforeseen issues.

Before you buy any natural wood furniture, be sure that you have fully understood all the measurements, including depth, before committing to buy. You might also want to check that your door frames are wide enough to accommodate too!

    • How a stain might affect the finished look

Most furniture manufacturers have their own stain colors, so while you might have a ‘barnwood’ dresser already. That’s no guarantee that our antique barnwood bed will be a perfect color match. If it has an odor

Certain wood types have a distinctive smell that they emit throughout their life. Though we think they are wonderful and add an authentic rustic feel to any room, they aren’t everybody’s cup of tea. Ask your manufacturer if the wood used in a particular item is known to be odorous and make a more informed decision from there. We will say that red cedar is beautifully perfumed though!

    • How it has been constructed

Is your potential new furniture made by machine or hand? What joint types are used? Are any processes finished by hand? Where is your furniture made and is it to order or mass-produced and kept in stock? These are all important questions to ask, especially if the information is not clearly displayed on a product listing.

When made well and looked after, natural wood furniture can and frequently does last a lifetime! It gets passed down through generations of families for years to come. Always keep in mind that there is a relationship to be had with your pieces! So, research them thoroughly, give them a little love and they’ll delight you forever.
