Modern Vanity

  • A Splash of Modernity for the Bathroom

    Modern Rustic Vanity

A little bit of old world charm goes a long way, but what if you love rustic design but have a fairly modern home? You can bring the two together, if you choose a handsome hybrid such as our modern rustic vanity.

We could talk all day long about the organic beauty and inherent charm of rustic furniture, but the simple fact is that not everybody wants a raw tree root in their contemporary homes. We get that, but we also know that when tempered with some up to date aesthetics, a rustic vibe can add so much to even a super pared back room, such as a bathroom. That’s why this grey wash vanity is such a firm favorite of ours.

Picture if you will, a modern bathroom. White metro tiles on the walls, a sleek shower enclosure and suite pieces that look almost space age in their styling. Now imagine adding in a contrasting vanity unit that balances the space and prevents it from feeling too sterile. It’s perfect isn’t it? What a way to harmonize without compromise! We happen to think that this refined rustic vanity would be the perfect addition to even the more stark and contemporary of rooms.

So how have we created this blended beauty? First, when building a reclaimed contemporary vanity unit, you need to actually use authentic barn wood, which we have. The doors are made from beautiful reclaimed timber, which we have lovingly and delicately finished in a soft grey, for that neutral and modern feel. Next, we kept the frame simple. No unnecessary trump or additions here, we just let the materials do all of the talking and finally, finished everything off with smooth handles that will mirror any fresh metal trims in your bathroom. Clever, right? So understated but full of thought, our modern reclaimed wood vanity is the ideal addition to literally any home, in any location, because it is so balanced.

Put this unit in a lodge or cabin and the rustic wood will step forward and integrate. Place it in a chic New York apartment and the linear lines and clean finish will resonate. Drawers plus a sizable cupboard mean that you will be able to enjoy a clutter-free space and we give you the option of readying your unit for your sink on either side. Because why would we know where your sink would look best?

Naturally, we ship your vanity for free, within the contiguous 48 states, as is the Woodland Creek way and we are always easy to get in touch with, should you want us to design any other complementary pieces, or build to custom dimensions. If you need any further convincing, we invite you to take a look at our reviews. A verified buyer of this exact vanity commented that: “I'm so thankful I found Woodland Creek Furniture. The sales person was exemplary, such a pleasure to work with. I ordered two handcrafted barn wood vanities with mirrors to match. The craftsmanship was incredible, way beyond any expectation I had.”

We think reviews like this say so much more than we ever could and would love for you to have a reason to leave one too.

  • Rustic Styling for Refined Tastes

Say the word rustic and some people might mistake it for old or tatty. In reality, when rustic styling is used well and by the appropriate artisans, it creates a unique version of antique furniture that looks at place in any setting and adds a quiet organic charm that nothing else can compete with. Come and take a look at our refined rustic vanity cabinetry and you’ll see what we mean.

    Refined Rustic Vanity Cabinetry

The first thing you’ll notice here is that this is a solid wood open vanity design. What that means is that there’s nowhere to hide. Poor workmanship or sloppy finishes will be instantly apparent, but we never let anything sub-par leave our workshop, so were not afraid to tackle this kind of bold style. All eyes are going to be on a rustic elegant vanity such as this one, so we have spared no time or effort when considering every last detail. From the rough sawn wood of the carcass to the use of sophisticated corbels and even the metal work; no stone has been left unturned in the creation of this piece.

Naturally, we could have used perfectly attractive metal pulls that were readily available, but that wouldn’t befit an elegant open wood vanity like this one, so we invested in hand forged metal accents. It’s just one of the ways that we seek to support other domestic interests, by keeping demanded for traditional skills and artistry alive. When you buy from us, you are doing the same, by supporting our team of handpicked master craftspeople that make creating with wood their entire lives.

We decided to choose a three drawer design for this refined wood vanity, in a bid to maximize practicality but also symmetry. The middle drawer has been cleverly adapted to make way for your plumbing and we’ve even thought about your linens. In any bathroom, you simply cannot have enough useful storage, especially for all the bulky linens or gorgeous decorative items that you amass. Here, we included a low shelf for just these items, keeping everything tucked out of the way but still perfectly to hand, whenever you need them.

If you’re looking at our vanity unit and thinking that it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for but not the right size, don’t count us out. We offer four standard size options, but are always ready to discuss a totally bespoke build. We will even help you decide what size would work best in your space, if you send us some dimensions and/or pictures.

We might try to take all of the heavy lifting off your shoulders, in terms of designing timeless furniture pieces that you’ll love in your home, but that doesn’t mean that anything we offer is ‘ordinary’ and that goes double for our customer service. We want you to be delighted and looking forward to visiting us again for your next revamp, so while free shipping and generous warranties are usually offered as standard, why not give us a chance to turn our breathtaking designs into a one-off, just for you?

  • Two's Company

Reclaimed Heritage Double Sink Barn Wood Vanity

If the idea of barn wood bathroom furniture has always appealed to you, but you’re nervous about the material, usual styles or even the price, we have created something just for you! Our Reclaimed Heritage Double Sink Barn Wood Vanity combines the best of all worlds with incredible timeless style, traditional craftsmanship and so much practicality all working together to create a must-have bathroom addition, but don’t just take our word for it,

“Our Reclaimed Heritage Double Sink Wood Vanity was absolutely more than what we expected. Not only is it a thing of beauty, my husband who also is a craftsman was blown away with the quality of workmanship.”

It doesn’t get any better than this, in terms of verified customer reviews, but indulge us for just a moment, while we tell you all about this special piece of furniture.

We designed our reclaimed wood vanity as an homage to the hard-working farmers, crofters and ranchers that made America what it is today. Using the materials that the earth gave them, these pioneers transformed their houses into homes that offered practicality and comfort and it’s time we got back to some of these traditional values, don’t you think? With this firmly in mind, we went to town on the small but meaningful details.

We use genuine repurposed timber for our reclaimed barn wood vanity. Some competitors might be happy to try and fool you by using less than vintage wood, but we always select the best, strongest and more heritage-imbued timber for our pieces, with a minimum of 100 years in the fibers. We then consider all the smaller and more functional elements, to ensure perfect cohesion and usability.

We could have been lazy with the fastenings and fixings, but that’s not us, which is why you’ll find perfectly forged metal slide door latches and strap drawer handles but take a close look at the door hinges and you’ll see something special. REAL WOOD!  No modern, cheap alloy hinges here, we have instead given our craftspeople the opportunity to flex their skills and create something more in-keeping with the material being showcased. But enough of these small intricacies, because we know that what you’re really interested in is the double-sink design!

Double sink wood vanity units are not the norm. Let’s just get that out of the way. The reason is that they take care and skill to build, as well as a genuinely talented eye for matching up sanitary ware with incredible barn wood and, frankly, not everyone has it. Now is not the time to be humble, so we are going to admit that we DO have the eye for this and that’s why our double sink design here is so spectacular, as is our determination to accommodate any and all bathroom dimensions. Simply use our series of drop down boxes to select the perfect size, orientation, sink and even coordinating pieces. It couldn’t be simpler or more satisfying.

Oh wait, it could be more pleasurable, if say we shipped your new vanity unit for free, within the contiguous 48 states, and gave you a free LIFETIME WARRANTY! It’s a good job we have two sinks here, as we need to splash some cool water on our faces now!

  • Razzle Dazzle where you Least Expect It!

    Copper Vanity & Linen Closet

If we were to tell you that your bathroom or utility room could be the most glamorous space in your home, would you believe us? We didn’t think so! Have a little faith though, as we are about to prove that it is in fact true!

We wouldn’t blame you for being skeptical about claims of bathroom grandeur. After all, it tends to be a perfunctory space that is used as infrequently as possible and certainly isn’t used as a showcase for decorating bragging rights…but it could be! As soon as you drink in the images of our Copper Vanity and Linen Closet, we think you’ll understand how!

Think of what you need most in a bathroom and you’ll know intuitively that it’s storage. Obviously, you want a sink as well, but it’s the organization potential that’s really important. Having a dedicated space for hiding away your fresh linens, toiletries and cleaning products is essential, but you don’t want to crowd the wider room with mismatched or badly placed pieces of furniture, which is where our coordinating cabinets come into their own!

We know what you’re thinking – a copper vanity, in a bathroom? Yes, you can include both copper and wood in your wettest room, without having to worry about damage or wear and tear. How? Because we source the best reclaimed wood and copper, meaning that there is strength as well as heritage and history running right through them. Plus, just take a look at the pictures and we know you’ll agree that in terms of a match made in heaven, recycled copper vanity units that showcase reclaimed barn wood have to be up there with the best!

The result of combining these two rich materials is a sophisticated rustic vanity unit, which is available to buy independently of the coordinating linen closet. We know that room dimensions and layouts will play a huge part in your decision-making process, so while we think these two pieces work best together as a set, they are fabulous when split as well and we don’t want you to think that it’s a case of all or nothing! Maybe you need the vanity unit for a master bath and the linen closet for your utility? The concurrent theme will translate throughout a home and work terrifically well.

We shop these fabulous pieces at our own cost, to customers living within the contiguous 48 states, including a full year’s warranty as well. Once you’ve decided that your bathroom simply isn’t complete without one of our reclaimed wood and copper vanity units, you can click to buy and then just wait for us to let you know that it’s on its way to you, but we do ask for a little patience. Given the special nature of the materials being used here, we don’t rush our artisans, who craft every piece to order. With this in mind, please allow 12-14 weeks of production time, to make your individual investment as perfect and spectacular as you expect it to be.

  • Bathroom Storage with a Story

If we told you that one of our most popular product offerings was born out of a customer asking for something specific to be adapted according to her vision, would you believe us? Well, it was and it is our Reclaimed Wood Vanity with Shelf.

    From humble beginnings

Starting life as a sofa table design, which we think you can easily picture, this gorgeous reclaimed bathroom vanity came about when an inspired and creative customer wanted the dimensions of the sofa table, but with space for a statement sink on top and a handy linen shelf below. It worked so well that we added it to our portfolio and it has become a must-buy item for many homes and it's not hard to see why.

The right material for the job

Sourcing reclaimed timber that is a minimum of 100 years old gives us a guarantee of unique barnwood vanity designs, even if, technically, the configurations are the same between two or more. Why? Because you simply cannot mimic patina effectively enough to build identical twins and we're thankful for that. The natural beauty of the raw material can, therefore, be allowed to shine through, unadulterated except for a protective treatment that prevents water damage or spots.

Antique barnwood furniture is a joy to behold and decorate your home with, but you might be wondering how reclaimed timber and a moisture-rich space can possibly be a good match. The secret is that the material is already strengthened after years of structural use and with a simple treatment, it can become a bathroom's best friend, especially when partnered with a suitably stunning sink.

    All details considered

We don’t supply sinks, but we can alter your finished reclaimed wood vanity, according to where you want to place your sink and how large your chosen basin is. We can even install false drawer fronts, to give the impression of a comprehensive set of storage options, despite a smaller selection actually being usable. How many faux drawers you have will depend on the size of your vanity, with the option of three, four or five drawers all on offer.

The lower shelf is another of our favorite elements of this design, as it creates the perfect spot for neatly storing towels and other linens, out of direct sight but well within easy reach.

    Your furniture, your way

We pride ourselves on putting your needs first, so if you want to customize any of our designs, even our reclaimed wood furniture pieces that are crafted by our artisan team, it is more than possible - it's our pleasure. You'll still be able to take advantage of our free shipping offer and we will do our best to complete your order in the regular amount of time (4-6 weeks in the case of this bathroom vanity) but to a more specific set of requirements.

That's the Woodland Creek way - exceptional furniture designs, crafted with functionality, beauty, and longevity in mind, as well as specific customer desires.

  • A Splash for Modernity for Every Bathroom

Solid wood furniture can be crafted into a myriad of styles and one of the most eye-catching is a sleek contemporary look that makes the most of beautiful grain and the material’s natural adaptability. A modern vanity is a fantastic way to bring a touch of solid wood into your bathroom.

    Simple But Not Standard

Whereas rustic furniture pieces seek to amplify the natural gorgeousness of solid wood, modern designs have to work that little bit harder. Stylish and unusual designs can have a habit of overpowering naturally aesthetic materials, which is why we take a less heavy-handed approach when creating modern items. Our Contemporary Wood Vanity is a perfect example of the understated and respectful design ethos that we are talking about.

Made from a contrasting yet complementary combination of black walnut and ash wood, left in their natural hues, this contemporary vanity both stands out and blends in, making it ideal for any bathroom. Integrated shelves allow for easy storage and access, while a sleek cabinet guarantees hidden organization as well and the smooth top is ideal for mounting a stylish sink onto.

The design of the vanity seems, at first glance, exceptionally simple and it is, but it’s anything other than plain. A strong and sturdy framework gives way to beautifully hand-finished surfaces and the black walnut doors elevate the finished look to something far more designer. What’s more, you can customize so that your finished vanity is a truly perfect fit for your space.

    A Personal Touch

Available in a range of sizes from 42-60” wide, our natural wood vanity should work in almost any bathroom, but we can accommodate even the most unusual size requests, by going fully bespoke. Contact us for more information about this option. The regular dimensions allow this tactile piece of furniture to stand at 34” tall and a generous but unobtrusive 18” deep, giving you enough surface to be useful but not overpowering, even in a compact room.

You can also choose the orientation of your finished piece, allowing you to decide which side would be most beneficial in terms of shelf installation. This, along with the promise that no two solid wood vanity units will ever be identical, thanks to the natural variation in solid wood, means that you can benefit from designer-looking furniture with an exclusive feel, at incredibly competitive prices.

    Crafted With Pride

When you buy a Contemporary Wood Vanity from us, you are doing more than making a fantastic choice for your home – you’re supporting a dream and a domestic product. All of our furniture pieces are designed and made right here in the USA, by talented craftsmen that we are proud to have in our team. We make all of our items to order, just for you and we ship free of charge, to give you peace of mind that once you’ve clicked ‘add to cart’, your work is done.
